So last week I opened my SASSYbag and had a laugh. I had asked my son to put his socks up before he went to bed…I found them in my purse. Not sure if that count as minding! Pour Your Heart Out – Lessons from a handwritten Valentine

This Valentine’s Day was one of the most special. I received all hand-made cards, the words were not written for my family to give…but they were written by my family. They are cards I will forever treasure. Then it hit me, as a personalization company we often focus on what is on the items…rather than what is in them. A handwritten note is slowly becoming a lost art…but why? Something that could mean so much to someone, why don’t we do it more often? Instead we rely on the simple text or email to send how we feel…and I am just as guilty as the rest. I want to send out a challenge as a result of my observations this Valentine’s Day. Send 3 hand written letters to those you love…and wait and see what happens. That’s right…a challenge. Now put away the keyboards, find a pen and a stamp and let’s get started. I’m certain we’ll all be amazed at the response we get.

O.k. ladies, we’ve all been there, you know, had one of those days. Where the unthinkable happens….not the thinkable…that would be much too easy…but the unthinkable. Your child gets sick in your makeup drawer, You pick up a pizza and leave it on the hood of your car or in your absence your husband nominates you as Class Parent to organize all the parties for your child’s class that school year. The things you just didn’t see coming. Events that clip you at the knees. Events that are kindly called “Motherhood Moments”.
