Wow!
Who would have thought that two sisters 1,000 miles apart could
start a company from their spare bedrooms? A company that would sell
personalized products to customers all over the United States.
In 2003, home with then one-year-old babies,
we were focused on growing our families and settling into daily routines that
no longer involved sales meetings and business lunches, but rather play groups
and naptimes. Being home with our children was such a blessing, but we still
longed for the creativity of the corporate life we had left behind. Through
late night emails and naptime phone calls, we decided to create something we
could do from home to fill this desire. We each started with one embroidery
machine, a few products and a huge boost of confidence from a mentor that God placed in our
path. Our personalized treasures started to sell from our individual homes,
community trunk shows and eventually home parties. From the beginning we were
reminded that this was God's business, not ours. When ladies would see the
products they would let out a big Squeal and ask. "Where can I sign up to sell
these products - I LOVE them all?" Seeing that others could enjoy the benefits
of owning a personalization business, we restructured. Initials, Inc. was born!
Launched in 2005, Initials, Inc. is now represented by women all over the country! We are so
thrilled to see our dream of a home-based business, become what so many other
women just like us desire; an opportunity that provides creativity, flexibility
and money! We are encouraged everyday when we see the difference that Initials,
Inc. is making for women and we are grateful that God gave us the ability to
make this company a reality!
